TROLLS AND THE MAGICAL STONES

(Original Play by Alexander Pantouw)

THE STORY (SUMMARY)

Once upon a time, in a Kingdom of Trolls, lived three groups of trolls: Singing trolls, Dancing trolls, and Music trolls. These three groups lived happily on different islands and loved to show musical performances. Each group was led by a leader. Lala was the singing trolls’ leader. She had a beautiful voice. Forte was the music trolls’ leader. He was very good at playing musical instruments and Hip Hop was the dancing trolls’ leader and also an energetic and talented dancer.

Once a year they celebrate the Queen’s birthday. She requested the trolls to prepare a special performance for her. To fulfill the Queen’s request, Lala, Forte, and Hip Hop gathered to discuss the special performance for the Queen. However, there was a problem every time they gathered. Each of them claimed that they were the best and their ideas were the best among others.

One day, two fairies saw them arguing and came up with a solution to their disagreement. The answer lies in the magical box. Unfortunately, the magical box was locked and it could only be unlocked by three magical stones which were hidden in different places.

For the first time, the leaders agreed on something; to go on a quest to find the hidden stones. All trolls cheered and wished them luck as each of them went in different directions to find the stones.

Forte, Lala, and Hip Hop met different challenges. They realized that all they needed was to apply teamwork and collaboration among themselves as “Three is better than one”. In the end, they performed together happily and succeeded in making the Queen happy on her birthday.

MORAL OF THE STORY

This story reminds everyone that teamwork and collaboration are important keys to completing all tasks and reaching any goals successfully. Working hand in hand together is better than working alone as Master Cheng Yen said through the Jing Si Aphorism; “Let many come forth to do a good deed together, of teamwork moves and inspires.”
